Environment and Infrastructure
The island of Kolocep is the smallest inhabited island in the Elaphiti archipelago and is located in close proximity to the city of Dubrovnik, which can be reached by boat in just 20 minutes.
The two settlements, Donje Celo and Gornje Celo, situated on the east and west sides of the island, are connected by a winding path (3 km long) through olive groves and gardens. In the village of Donje Celo, there is a hotel, a supermarket with fresh vegetables and fruits, the post office, a bank, an exchange office, as well as restaurants serving traditional Mediterranean dishes, cafes, game rooms, and tennis courts. At the same time, Gornje Celo has a beautiful beach and restaurants.
Kolocep is a green island with hundred-year-old pine trees, olive groves, carob trees, gardens full of orange and lemon trees, beautiful beaches, and a fragrant park. It is one of the most popular destinations for day trips from Dubrovnik. Kolocep is a car-free island with daily ferries and water taxis.
