Environment and Infrastructure
The Croatian village of Stomorska is located on the island and within the municipality of Šolta, belonging to the Split-Dalmatia County. The village is characterized by the historical stone facades of picturesque houses in the old town center. Stomorska has its own yacht marina and is the oldest coastal settlement on the entire island.
Shops for daily needs, as well as a selection of recommended restaurants, typical Croatian taverns, and other local spots, can be found in Stomorska and its surrounding area. Due to its proximity to the sea, various water sports activities such as sailing, stand-up paddling, and kite surfing are popular for diverse leisure options.
You can reach the main town of the island, Grohote, in about 13 minutes by car. Additionally, Stomorska is connected to the mainland by catamaran ferries, while car ferries dock approximately eleven kilometers away in Rogač.
