Environment and Infrastructure
Split, the largest city in southern Croatia, is known for its historic buildings, valuable cultural heritage and beautiful nature. The old town of Split is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers many sights and picturesque places, such as the Riva waterfront promenade.
Split is about 50 kilometers from the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. The airport can be reached in about 40 minutes by car, and the ferry to the island of Brač takes about 50 minutes.
There are numerous stores, cozy restaurants and typical Croatian konobas in Split. The city offers a variety of leisure activities such as golfing, cycling, hiking and diving.
