Environment and Infrastructure
La Guancha is located in the north of Tenerife, just half an hour's drive from Puerto de la Cruz - the main tourist town in the north of the island. A beautiful rural setting leads to the mountains on one side and a romantic coastline with sheltered rocky coves and natural swimming pools on the other. Perhaps the most famous is the Charco del Viento,
Towards the west, Icod de los Vinos has plenty of infrastructure for daily needs, as well as various other stores, doctors, pharmacies and, of course, the famous Drago Milenario.
There are also beautiful beaches not far from La Guancha: Playa San Marcos, in a sheltered bay below Icod, and Playa Socorro in the direction of Puerto de la Cruz.
