Environment and Infrastructure
La Orotava is located in the north of Tenerife and is one of the oldest and most beautiful towns in the Canary Islands. The town still preserves a rich architectural, scenic and cultural heritage. The town is located above Puerto de la Cruz and is the cradle of Spanish history on Tenerife.
Particular highlights are the historic town center around the Plaza de la Constitución and the small stretch of coast near El Rincón with some exclusive villas, close to an insider tip for beach fun in the form of the idyllic rocky bay of Playa Bolullo with its fine sandy beach.
Next to La Orotava are villa districts that offer beautiful sea views and, depending on your taste, the proximity to Puerto de la Cruz or the flair of the higher locations characterized by lush vegetation and the town's famous wines. Above La Orotava, a magnificent natural landscape opens up, leading across the forest belt of the Corona Forestal into the Parque National del Teide.
