For the final closing of the purchase, make an appointment with a notary public who will duly complete the purchase and, together with the land registry office, transcribe the land register entry. This makes you the legal owner. In Germany, the amount of the tax varies between 3.5 and 6.5 percent depending on the federal state. <a href=\"https:\/\/weissimmobilien.com\/en\/locations\/\">Here in Hamburg<\/a>, you can expect a land transfer tax of 4.5 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Broker commission<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you decide to <a href=\"https:\/\/weissimmobilien.com\/en\/advisor\/cooperation-with-a-broker\/\">work with a broker<\/a> or if the property is offered by a broker, you have to expect a commission of about 3.57 percent including VAT. The situation is different if a so-called internal commission has been agreed for the house in question. This means that the seller pays the entire brokerage fee and this is accordingly waived for you. Are you buying an apartment building or other investment property?
